 When I took the overnight boat / bike ride, I only really rode the bike about 10 miles total, but had the overnight gear. From Soldotna to the ocean in Kenai is about 14miles each way, so I parked in Soldotna and rode to Kenai. I knew I could get back that same day, so my gear requirements were minor. It was training for the following days ride to Seward.......
