Snively & Juntura

Originally I thought that I was going to explore hot springs in Eastern Oregon for a few days and that I would miss the Underpass show in Portland. That was until I found out that UNDERPASS had a day off before the Portland gig. And they wanted to go hot springing on their day off. So I condensed my original plan down and planned a route that would get us to 3 skateparks and 2 eastern OR hot springs, plus Alex's favorite, Cougar Hot Springs - plus if it worked out just right, we'd be able to dine on Pizza Research Institute as well before arriving to play the show in Portland.
1st stop - Kuna Skatepark - 20 miles SW of Boise

very patient gals

but that's not to say that everyone didn't get into the game

Alex rolled in against his better judgment

bathroom break - van hangout session
it was all of our's first time at Snively Hot Springs in Eastern Oregon.
Alex & I were the first ones in the water

kicking back

it took a minute for everyone to get settled

Dan had an unusual soaking technique

loving life

Nikki & our canine companion

Dan loved the cold water as much as the the hot water - this river empties into the Snake River
the vans made it through the rough roads to Juntura Hot Springs

not one of us had been to Juntura before this day
the goatheads ambushed Alex something awful
pretty darn hot for such a wide open pool

Alex's self portrait came out so tight!

we wrapped it up pretty quickly at Juntura - the road was calling
Dan had us stop at the Burns Skatepark - totally shoddy, but it was next to a playground from 1970

a liability suit just waiting to happen

Marita was on top of the world!

GIANT steps to the top

taking the fast way down

the sun was setting on the way out of Burns
Nikki made some hearty wraps where we bedded down outside of Brothers, OR

Rits approved and then it was time to say goodnight
